Final update

Yes, the Street Department in my town has been heard from again. It's nothing less than I deserve for making phone calls to them.

I received a letter that said "I am sorry to inform you that last night during the winter storm, one of our salt trucks accidentally struck your mailbox. The Village will place a temporary mailbox in front of your house for you to continue to receive mail from the post office until the Village fixes or replaces your mailbox. Once again I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cost you."

I think they hate us.

  1. I am so sorry, but I am laughing right now. This is like out of a sitcom on TV. It doesn't get any better than this. Please, please post a picture of your temporary mailbox. Gosh, this is yet another reason I moved from the Midwest after nursing school!!

Still a cursed mailbox, no? ;)

  3. I feel bad for giggling. Really, I do. Have a mailbox, only slightly flattened! :)

  5. I just read your passive aggressive tale over at Mommy Wants Vodka. Um, I think we're sisters ... certainly my mother wrote that note. hahaha

  6. OK.
Mine is a picture from my sons room. Last summer he was getting ready to leave for college and we wee going to paint (the hideous color was by the previous owners) so I made a to do list for him on the walls with a sharpie. We had fun leaving him sharpie messages on all 4 walls until he left. I also posted new and improved home office pic.

I have no followers yet. So PLEASE follow me!
